It is possible: There is no way to know whether that level of bhcg hormone represents a new pregnancy, or a slow decrease from the medical abortion. In either case, the level needs to be monitored weekly. If it rises, a d and c would be stronly recommended in order to distinguish an abnormal pregnancy (molar) from a normal one.
