Insufficiency: Generally no treatment other than rest and avoiding aggravating activities is needed. Avoid sitting on hard surfaces. Sit on pillow or donut instead. Time to heal is variable but most fractures mend in 6-10 weeks. Make sure someone advises you on osteoporosis treatments (ecercise, calcium, vitd, estrogen replacement, etc. ).
