Hunger hurts: Many medications can increase appetite including mood stabilizers like valproic acid, pain meds like tramadol and oxycodone, antipsychotics like risperdal, and sleeping pills. Sometimes depression can manifest as increased hunger. It might be worth talking to your md about these issues. Exercise can reduce hunger, at a pace sufficient to cause shortness of breath and sweating. Hope this helps.
