If your headache is "the worst headache of your life" and/or is accompanied by numbness, vision loss, or muscle weakness visit the er. If you are having new onset headaches frequently visit your doctor. If you have infrequent occasional headaches tylenol (acetaminophen) or something like advil or aleve can help.
