A member asked:

Can you tell me what are the effect of abnormal heartbeat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: "abnormal heartbeat" covers a lot of ground. Virtually everyone has some "extra" (technically premature) beats which are harmless but can be annoying. Very rapid rhythms (>200) can cause dizziness. Very slow rhythms (with > 5 second pauses) can cause blackouts. The most dangerous rhythms occur during or after a heart attack which, at 16, is not a concern for you.
