Happens: When you fill your stomach with food, you actually do create a mechanical restriction of lung volume by the space taken up with your digestive tract. To be sure there's nothing more going on, you should be examined but i suspect more frequent, smaller meals will be all it takes to make your feel better. Do you have an underlying lung disease? Do you wheeze with certain foods (allergy?).

Bloating : May be you just eating to large of a meal. Patients with hiatal hernias develop acid reflux and may feel bloated. Also diabetic patients with gastrosparesis can have the same symptoms. Gastric ulcers, gallbladder disease. Check with your physician.
