Sign of health: Actually, even though you consider yourself to be not in great shape, the slow pulse suggests you're better than you think. Heartrate is regulated by need and during rest, a slow hr is entirely normal so long as your metabolic need is normal as yours obviously is. A rapid resting rate is much more ominous.
