Not necessarily: Cll can cause nodes to enlarge, and if untreated, they can continue to grow. They may, however, not change much also. Sometimes cll is watched and no treatment may be needed for many years. Some of the reasons to treat includes dropping blood counts (especially platelets and hemoglobin) or enlarging and annoying/painful lymph nodes. Treatments are extremely effective at shrinking lyph nodes.

Treatment: It depends on what treatment you are getting and how you respond to it.
