I am on a nebulizer and oral meds. i have been short of breath and peakflow 350 for a week. now my cheeks are itchy. could this be due to asthma?

Allergy: Asthma and allergy go hand in hand. Itchy skin suggests an allergy and springtime is the time of year it tends to get worse. Do your eyes itch too? Consider adding an antihistamine.

Maybe.: 350, if measured accurately, isn't a bad peak flow (unless there is a recent sustained drop), but the shortness of breath is a concern. I'd talk to your doctor about that.

Yes: Patients with asthma often report itching at the start of an asthma attack. Itching could also be due to eczema, a contact allergy or other conditions. Re-evaluation of your medications would be reasonable with consideration of a long-acting bronchodilator. The thick nasal discharge could be due to a sinus infection and should also be evaluated.

Allergy: You are probably having contact dermatitis from mask. Seasonal allergies can also present like this . If you can use inhaler instead of nebuliser your condition will improve . You need to look at all the meds to make sure you did not develop drug allergy.
