Depends: If your child has only had a watery stool once or twice in a day, and it isn't a frequent occurrence, there is no real concern. Different foods, changes in appetite, changes in digestion can cause this once in a while. If your child is having >4-5 watery stools/day on a regular basis, he should see a doctor.
