I had my first session of acupuncture for stress and insomnia and i am worse than ever! does one get worse before better?

Sometimes: Symptoms may become worse occasionally after acupuncture before they get better. Usually no change is the worst prognosis after a needling session.

Hmm?: Symptoms can worsen after musculoskeletal treatments. However, the only time I have seen someone become stirred up by stress treatments is when seven dragons is done (which is very powerful). I have not seen worsening of sleep/ stress when using auricular, scalp or major acupuncture point treatments. Not sure what to say.
