Vaginal bleeding: Vaginal bleeding is rather common during early pregnancy. Some women may mistakenly think that this bleeding is a true period, when in fact it is due to the pregnancy. Do frequent pregnancy tests and if you think you might be pregnant, you should should call for an appointment to see your doctor.

Yes, common early on: "light-periods" can occur during first couple of months, one of few reasons people don't know they are pregnant. I would do a hpt to confirm your status. If not pregnant, then it could be your period, or could be a bit too eaarly. Recheck in 5-7 days to confirm. If heavier period, it could be a miscarriage etc...If u are concerned, consult doc. Good luck.

Usually not: The menstrual period is when the uterine lining sheds after an egg is not fertilized. Some women may ovulate irregularly and shed a small amount of lining during ovulation, and it is at that time pregnancy can inadvertently occur. She will think that this is her menstrual cycle.
