How dangerous is it to have gastric sleeve done & gadtric band removed at same tome?

Band to sleeve: It is acceptable to have a revision from a band to sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass in a single stage operation. I routinely perform this. However, it really depends on how difficult the band removal is and how much scar tissue is present. There are times where i will choose to only remove the band and do the sleeve or bypass at a later date.
