Indomethacin gel for back pain.. is it safe even if i have gerd?

Back pain: Although the absorption of medication is via cutaneous pathway, there could be significant prostaglandin inhibition with this medication that may result in worsening of the gerd or development of an ulcer. Check with your physician for further adequate diagnosis and treatment.
