Testosterone : Injections of testosterone can result in hair loss from scalp and excess hair growth on face & areas where women normally dont grow hair. Hair follicles on frontal & vertex scalp are sensitive to dihydrotestosterone (dht). Hair follicles contain receptors for androgens (male hormones) & 5 Alpha reductase, enzyme that converts testosterone to dht. This can lead to androgenetic pattern hair loss.
