I have very dry skin on my face only. have tried oils, creams, lotions - some prescription. nothing works. should i try ammonium lactate skin cream?

Dry facial skin: 2 questions 1. Is it dryness? Conditions that can have flaking and scaling on the face include seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema and others. 2. If it is dryness, it's important to eliminate things that would contribute to it, such as harsh soaps, washcloths, extensive exfoliation, fragrances/dyes, etc. Most ammonium lactate lotions are too irritating to the face. Please see a dermatologist.
