Testing: A few things, one test that is often done by pulmonary physicians or ENT is a camera looking at your vocal cords. Acid reflux during sleep often goes all the way up to level of vocal cords and causes changes there. There is another testing that GI doctor does called a ph study or acid study. They put a probe down your nose into your stomach and it monitors acid production over time for 24-48hrs.
