Narcolepsy?: Sounds more like a sleep related breathing disorder. It also can go along with asthma which is also associated with breathing problems. You should consult with your md and let him know what is happening. Perhaps seeing a sleep specialist that treats sleeping disorders is what is needed.

Yes you can, however: The causes can be varied. There are concommitant issues that need to be looked at. What medications you are taking, what position are you in when this occurs. What level of injury and the completeness of the injury is important to the answer.Higher level complete injuries (t6 and up ) can cause more problems, than lower injuries. You should discuss with a rehab doc specializing in sci.
