Probably...: You had a meningitis based on the first tap and recovered. The symptoms that you describe is likely the sequellae of a viral encephalomeningitis.

Dizziness,etc : Have you been tested for lyme's disease? Sometimes the blood test may be negative, but there may be MRI changes that resemble ms.
