Doctors can you tell me how often should people test for diabetes?

Depends Severity &Tx: Unclear if asking before apparent or after recognized. One of the best tests, currently available clinically, for pre-dm is the NMR particle test lp-ir score. This measures lipoprotein particles, not glucose or Insulin resistance, as implied by the name. It relies on strong population correlations with lipoprotein behavior & Insulin resistance & can predict type ii dm 15-20 yrs before hba1c ≥6.5%.
