With tears: Artificial tears can wash way the flu virus. Other than tamiflu, (oseltamivir) we don't have many specific treatments for the flu virus. For adenovirus, a drop of betadine can help eradicate the virus and lead to a more rapid resolution of the infection with a diminished chance of corneal scarring if caught early.
