Assuming that: You are not talking about internal hernias, treatment is surgical repair when it becomes symptomatic. Other modalities, such as truss or binder, is temporary at best and not satisfactory treatment. Hernias can lead to incarceration and strangulation of its contents, so consult with a surgeon.
