A member asked:

What will happen if one leg is shorter than the other?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Short limb: This is what we call a limb length discrepency. The problems that we can see, mainly arthritis and pain, are normally biomechanical in nature. Simple things like a lift build into one of your shoes can help balance out the discrepency. Surgery to lengthen the leg is reserved for severe conditions.
