No: Most of the world, especially in Africa and asia eat peanuts. Oddly peanut allegies are almost unheard of in these areas. Peanuts are a good source of plant based protein....In moderation of course.

Peanuts & pregnancy: Yes, it's possible. The main factors determining your baby's risks are genetic. If you or baby's dad are peanut allergic, it's probably wise to avoid peanuts while pregnant.
