Is there a way to know if i have a cold or a reaction to pollen in the air?

Symptoms: Colds are associated with a low grade fever, clear nasal discharge and an achy feeling which can last 5-7 days constantly. Allergy symptoms are unrelated to a fever, may have clear nasal discharge, sneezing, runny eyes and are intermittent & sporadic.

Hi, my 22 month old son has a rash-like skin reaction on his back, torso and abdominal area. I first noted it yesterday on his back, since spread posteriorly. No changes in soaps, no new food or medication given. He is allergic to pollen, dust, etc.
I have a swollen face (allergic reaction to pollen, dander etc). I take cetrizine and beclometasone (nasal spray). How long before it works?

Can I take an otc antihistamine along with bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and prednisone? It is not for allergic reaction from bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim), just for pollen allergy
