You need a check up : A check up by your doctor is necessary to find out the cause of pain in your arm. Any severe pain which is unrelated to injury is suspect for an underlying disease. Only an examination by your doctor along with some tests(x-rays/scans) can reveal the underlying cause of this pain if it is persisting beyond 2 to 3 weeks.
