Nystagmus: If the eyes jump when you look to the extreme right or left, that can be normal. If they jump up or down, this is not normal and generally represents a neurologic disease. With congenital poor vision, a searching type nystagmus can develop. If it is a new onset, you should seek medical attention as a stroke can cause it or a neurologic disease.
