Treating dandruff: A number of good over the counter products, particularly shampoos that can help with seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff), such as tar shampoos, selenium sulfide, ketoconazole shampoo, zinc pyrithione and combinations of these. Salicylic acid shampoos can help break down the scale and wash it away. I recommend alternating two or three of these on a daily basis. If no help, see your dermatologist.
