Meningitis: First you would actually have to have meningitis and the symptoms and even with this disorder the risk of passing it onto a family member remains quite low.

Depends: The short answer is yes but the chance is low. A lot of this would depend on the type of meningitis. Meningitis is quite rare in the absence of a brain or spinal cord procedure. You should discuss this with your primary doctor.
