You decide: "detox" is actually a lifestyle change that you adopt for a while that is likely to make you feel better. The "poisons" that it removes are probably mythical. Some of them are crazy and can end you in the icu; others are good lead-ins to permanent habit changes. If it's making you sick, stop doing it. If it makes you feel great, continue. Don't leave your personal physician out.
