Depends: Bronchitis is usually an infection causing a cough; however sometimes people diagnosed with bronchitis actually have asthma and may have allergies. The best thing is to see an allergist for evaluation and treatment. They can do lung function testing and allergy testing to determine if you have asthma and /or allergies.

M.D. visit: Bronchitis is typically due to a viral illness and resolves with time. If you are wheezing, short of breath or having chest pain, further evaluation may include lung function testing, evaluation for allergic disease and a chest radiograph.
