Depends: If you breastfeed exclusively it is impossible to know if/when your menses will resume. If not breastfeeding, then most women will conceive by 6-8 weeks after delivery.

At least 4-6 months: A good balanced diet with proper nutritional supplements with a course of exercise perhaps emphasizing core strengthening under the supervision of a personal trainer performed over a period of time to allow reasonable recuperation from the effects of pregnancy ( a minimum of 4-6 months) is a reasonable approacch.
