Yes - use protection: Hope you are using Mycostatin (nystatin) cream. Sex may be uncomfortable but not contraindicated. Use condom protection. Partner may already be infected & thus may need treatment as well. Hope you like yogurt with live culture!

Yes: Many women have an overgrowth of yeast and have no symptoms - with or without having sex. Often sexual intercourse is quite painful when a woman does have a yeast infection.
