A member asked:

Do medical x-rays such as ct scans kill the newborn cells when lots of radiation hits the body all together?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not sure: I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you talking about fetal exposure during pregnancy or tests performed on a newborn? Radiation dose is cumulative over a lifetime. The dose is dependent on the type and number of studies performed. In addition, certain organs (such as ovaries) are more sensitive to radiation.
