Might general anesthesia cause numbness to face and tounge?

Numbness of face...: Not general anesthesia, but the securing the airway or the head/face position. Probably, the use of the lma compressed some nerves deep into the walls of the throat or base of the tongue. Sometimes the facial nerve can get compressed by using a mask strap (bucal branch). It is rarely on both sides. Most will go away in several days. If not, consult your doctor or a neurologist.
