A member asked:

Why are certain types of condoms more likely to cause a bladder infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI's and condoms: Condoms do not cause a bladder infection, bacteria do. Women's urethras are shorter than men's, so bacteria are more readily able to pass through the urethra to the bladder, after sex, causing a urinary tract infection. You might want to go the bathroom and urinate after sex which may solve your problem.
