Various: Ringworm is caused by skin fungus. Some cases of ringworm are caused by the same fungus that cause athlete's foot. For many cases of ringworm on the arms, legs or torso, creams or ointments will get rid of the skin yeast. For widespread cases or for ringworm in the scalp tablets are used.
