Intestine: The intestinal lining is terrific at treating food and separating what is to be absorbed from what remains in the intestine to be passed as stool. This is supplemented a little by the liver which adds things in the bile to the stool output. Fat is usually absorbed and will be stored if you ingest more than your body can metabolize.
