Yes and no: Hcg and lh are very similar hormones. And a test can confuse them. (depending on test performed). If your HCG went back to negative and now ovulation says you are ovulating then you are ovulating. It is not uncommon for ovulation to occur the month after an abortion.

Read instructions: The instructions on most ovulation kits will give specific recommendations for that brand. Ovulation occurs 12-48 hrs after the test turns positive.
