Expert opinion please: could taking some penicillin i have left over help cure stye eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: While taking "leftover" antibiotics is not a generally good idea, the best treatment for a stye (see chalazion or hordeolum) is warm compresses with or without topical eye antibiotics. See your ophthalmologist if hot compresses x 15-20 minutes every 4-6 hours for a week does not lead to a pointing and eruption of the stye.
