Protein & Carbs: Milk can provide protein and carbs after exercise & training, but remember in the usa cow's milk likely contains rbgh(bovine growth hormone-associated with increased risk of breast, colon & prostate cancers-banned in europe & canada) unless organic and labeled "no rbgh." soy milk should also be organic as >90% is genetically modified to withstand roundup and may be contaminated with the pesticide.
