Yes: There are many different germs that can trigger meningitis. We have some vaccines that help improve personal resistance to some of these germs, but the protection can fade in time for any bacterial vaccine.We do not have vaccines that actually protect against all germs that can give you meningitis.Some forms of meningitis are rarely seen an anyone other than infants,but some forms do at any age.
