A member asked:

For acl surgery, should i have it done in my small town or wait 2 months for a well-known doctor to do it?

See a specialist: I fully admit my bias-i am a fellowship trained sports medicine specialist in a large academic center, but thatswho i would see if i tore my acl. Techniques in acl surgery have evolved in recent years. You should have an in depth talk re graft choice, rehab, any associated meniscus or cartilage injuries. 2 months seems like a longer than usual wait-maybe call again/call around? Good luck!
