If you have: Bacterial vaginosis it should be treated. Many have bv, most do not deliver early. Furthermore, secondary to increased blood flow in the pelvis, you will have more discharge. If you delivered prior to 36 weeks first pregnancy, may want to consider supplemental progesterone, known as 17-ohp, it's been demonstrated to prolong pregnancies in those at risk of prematurity. Good luck.

See Ob/Gyn!: If you are experiencing vaginal discharge during pregnancy you should be examined by your obstetrician to determine the optimal course of action. Asymptomatic bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis need not be treated during pregnancy for fear of increasing preterm birth risk, however symptomatic vaginal infections should be treated to relieve the mother. Progesterone may be helpful if ur hi-risk.
