Get a hearing test: If this happened acutely it is likely you have fluid in your middle ear that is interfering with your hearing. Less likely, it could be a true one-sided hearing loss due to a neurologic problem. Get an audiology exam - many hospitals do these for free. If it is abnormal, follow up with an "ent" specialist - an otolaryngologist.
