Recently my son was hospitalized for unsteady gait. blood work shows alkaline phosphate 241. ch. rang 15-105. aspartate transferase 33. h. range 7-32. are these cause for concern?

No. Normal level of alkaline phosphatase for 3-y-o male ranges from 100 to 390 U/L. AST level is also in normal range (15-40).

A neurologist should evaluate your son and an imaging study may be considered. A vision exam and test of muscle strength is recommended. If the cause is still not clear discuss a genomic screening test at the Children’s hospital.
