A member asked:

I have a migraine and i'm pregnant, but i've tried otc medications. what other medications will work? is magnesium okay?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most medications used to treat acute migraines are contraindicated in pregnancy due to risk of fetal malformations and potential miscarriage. Magnesium may prevent headaches at proper levels but will not work in migraine cessation. Have found that inhalation of 100% oxygen may be useful, but you will need your doctor to provide a prescription.
