You don't say why you were prescribed metronidazole (Flagyl), but I assume it is to treat possible trichomonas; probably a female partner has been diagnosed with it (?). The test is reliable for a few days after starting treatment. However, assuming you have an infected partner, you should finish the metronidazole as it was prescribed even if your test is negative.
