He should see a doctor about the blood in his urine. There are many possible causes including a urinary tract infection, a kidney stone, trauma to his urethra, etc. He will need to have a urinalysis test done and a culture if it looks infected. A urologist would be helpful to figure out why he has blood in his urine. This should be checked as soon as possible. Good luck to you!

It might be from local irritation of the urethra (penile passageway)/ prostate area and clear up in 24- 48 hrs. If not have him see a Urologist for it might be unrelated to what you did.
