Could you please shed light on brain gut axis, connection. can stress/anxiety affect the bowels? can it cause bowel movements to look to vary daily? depending on the day it's bigger, smaller, longer, shorter, softer, firmer?

Stress/anxiety can affect the bowels-sometimes you can even have diarrhea due to stress/anxiety. The shape/size of the stool can also be affected by the food you are eating-this can also affect the stool’s color. If there is a significant change in your stools, you should be evaluated by a doctor. Good luck!
